I understand that with what limited information is available, and with what littlee i can say, it is very easy to gravitate toward the belief that we are causing harm to players and or game, rather than doing something innovative or exciting. The game is still young. It would not be in our better interests to have anything fevalued or rendered obsolete. We're not done yet. Meeroos will never cease development. In fact, we have over 25 new coats we're getting ready to introduce, well before the last ones of the launch set have even been found. Even during our expansion the meeroos will continue to evolve and acquire new genetics and interactive abilities. The expansion is not a device to destroy what we've spent over a year building after just four months! I promise you that. The expansion is built to empower the experience, diversify it and resolve some of the issues we've come across. It also levels the playing field once again, post autopetter, post lottery, and allows us to regain control of the game and it's direction, rather than have to develop as a reaction to conditions we've found ourselves in. The expansion will compliment entirely the current meeroos and even restore value to meeroos once thought commonplace. It does not remove the current content from the game board or hinder it it any fashion. They are two pieces of the same puzzle and equally critical for progress. The goal is to unfold a vital part of the lore while empowering the player by giving them more tools to explore with. It is a positive addition. I believe, in time you will see that. I will be looking forward to your feedback when more information is released.

Catherine

Re: Thoughts on BDSM educational locations in Second Life & Redzone

You are sitting on the fence and waiting for the decision based around
consent and privacy to be made for you by the game gods. You are
passively supporting the use of redzone by refusing to take a position
against IP snooping. Perhaps when Redzone starts to flag others in SL
as you alts and you're reputation gets tarnished by the actions of
other .. not that you need the help right now.

Re: Thoughts on BDSM educational locations in Second Life & Redzone

ACES isn't condoning redzone ACES is simply waiting for Linden Labs to announce their decisions on it. Our etiquette and policy has always posted something to the context of we won't take sides of any dispute. I personally do not like the idea of people coming to my land snooping around to see if I have any of those programs, which I do not and find it offensive to think that I said I support RedZone when that is simply not the case. I stated a neutral stance and understand that people want to protect themselves both ways. Aces official comment is we aren't endorsing either product. And I might add, we are waiting for Linden Labs to make an announcement officially on the subject to be educated and acknowledge the expectations of all citizens in Secondlife. Greenzone and Redzone both have their drama. I don't support either of them. So back off!

Re: GRS Update (day 24)

Very excited for you!!! I'm sorry travel in the US has been such a hassle for you. :-/ Have you thought of possibly staying in Vancouver in Canada? It's right across the border from Washington state and you're far less likely to have the fact that you're transgendered held against you there. I think you can even improve your odds of getting a VISA to work if you agree to move to an area that is underpopulated for some number of years. I know it's not perfect but Canada is a friendlier place in general to TG folks and your extended family in Washington state could join you there.

Anyway, again I'm sorry things are looking down right now but I know you'll find a way to be together.

<3
Jani

Re: US Trans Immigration Help!

California and Massachussettes are the best states in the U.S. to live since same sex marriages are legal there now. Even in Florida where I live and it's not so tg/ts friendly, changing your gender legally can take as little as two weeks and costs under $200. My former roomate had a very easy time getting her driver's license and other legal documents changed.
